July 5, 2005: Venice, CA, Book Reading Event | ||||||||||||
The book signing opened with Nadia McCaffrey, her son Patrick was killed in Iraq. He was one of the first national guard deployed to Iraq after being told when he joined that he would never be sent to war. She was followed our authors Jasmina Tesanovic of Women in Black Serbia and Eisha Mason from Center for Non-Violence. Fernando Suarez del Solar, had the tears rolling with the story of his son Jesus, who was killed in Iraq. For both Nadia and Fernando it was their only child and now they are giving their lives to end this tragic war. Photos the gracious gift of Ian Brown.
