Dear CODEPINKer,
|
This
year at the party conventions, the whole nation's eyes will be turned
towards the spectacle of power politics. I am going to Denver and
Minneapolis this summer because I want to stand in opposition to the
bankrupt foreign policy represented by both the Republican and the
Democratic Parties.
I will be there to represent the politics of caring -- the politics of the people.

This summer CODEPINK
will be bringing our messages of peace, justice and sustainability to
both the Democratic and the Republican National Conventions, and we
invite you to join us.
We
will call for real change in the way our government conducts its
business: change that saves lives, money, and safeguards the future of
our children. We will stand for a just foreign policy and urge
diplomacy with Iran. We will call for peace -- immediate, tangible, and
lively. We will work to make the world we hope for a reality.
It is critical to remind the Democratic and the Republican parties that in a true democracy the voices of the people are heard and their interests represented.
The people have made it clear that they want to see an end to the US
military occupation of Iraq and that they do not want to be dragged into another unnecessary war, in Iran or anywhere else, ever again.
Please join us in our actions at the DNC and RNC.
If you can't travel to meet us, sign up with the PeaceRoom2008 team and support our efforts where you are.
Together we will work towards our vision for a more equitable and greener world.
With peace and hope,
Alicia, Anne, Dana, Deidra, Desiree, Farida, Gael, Gayle, Jean, Jodie, Liz, Lori, Medea, Nancy, Rae and Tighe
