 Terrorism
in the Americas did not begin with 9/11.Have
you ever heard of a man named Luis Posada Carriles? Posada
is a ruthless terrorist responsible for the downing of a Cuban airplane
in 1976 that killed 73 people. He bragged in the New York Times
about his role in the bombing of hotels in Havana that left an Italian
tourist dead and many wounded. Despite these acts of terror, Posada
is living openly in Miami. View our powerful

This
week, CODEPINK went to Miami to launch
a campaign calling on the FBI to add Posada to the Most Wanted List
and arrest him. We were attacked by a violent group of thugs who
assaulted our vehicle and pelted us with eggs while the Miami police
and FBI stood by and watched (check out the CBS
coverage here). Despite the violence against us, this
campaign will continue. Please help us by calling the FBI at 202-324-3000
to demand that Posada be added to the FBI's Most Wanted List. To

Another
Most Wanted on the CODEPINK list is Vice President Cheney.
Last night, Congressman Robert Wexler presented his fellow House
Judiciary Committee members with the signatures he received calling
for Cheney impeachment hearings. He also named organizations
that have collected signatures, including CODEPINK.
Today,
peace groups have joined in a national call-in day to Congress.
Please call House Judiciary Chairman John Conyers (202-225-3951)
and your Congressperson, and tell them to urge Chairman Conyers
to begin impeachment hearings for Dick Cheney. You can call the

SPOTLIGHT:
Four
members from the St. Cloud State University CODEPINK
MN Campus Chapter recently spent a week in DC at
the Pink House, learning how to mobilize on a large scale.
 The
group of young women took a Greyhound for 32 hours to get
to DC. In addition to taking part in a Close Guantanamo action
at the Supreme Court, they also organized the first-ever counter-recruitment
action at the Army recruiting center near the Pink
House and created a protest outside Halliburton HQ drawing
attention to the rape of a KBR staffer in Iraq and calling
for the government to end all private contracts in Iraq.
Now
they are returning to Minnesota empowered and inspired, ready
to organize with renewed vigor (including protests at the
Republican National Convention in Minneapolis this August!)
