Dear CODEPINKer,

Sometimes men just need a little nudging. We have to remind them to take out the garbage. Or to pick up the kids from school. Or to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate torture. In the case of Attorney General Eric Holder, your nudging worked! Your letters and calls telling him "I got your back" have given him the courage to stand up and start looking into appointing a special prosecutor to investigate torture, even against the wishes of the Obama administration.

This is great news! But there's a problem: Rumor has it that Holder's investigation is likely to focus solely on low-level interrogators who went beyond the legal boundaries set by the administration-not the architects of the torture program themselves.

Looks like it's time for more nudging. Click here to urge Attorney General Holder to assign a special prosecutor and to start with those at the top who gave him the green light for torture, including Dick Cheney.

Cheney has no regard for law or morality, or for government checks and balances for that matter. Just last week we discovered that Cheney ordered the CIA to withhold information from Congress about a secret spying program! The more we learn about Dick Cheney's backroom dealings, the more reasons we have to investigate and prosecute Bush administration crimes.

So please write or call Holder to let him know you have his back as he moves toward investigating torture from the top down. You can write to him here or give him a call at 202-514-2001 and encourage him to pursue appointing a special investigator that will go all the way to the top.

Remember, men sometimes just need that little extra dose of encouragement, you know.
