September 25, 2007:

We had a great group of women and men today outside the U.N. Our own George W. Bush (Courtney) was on hand and our Pink Peace officers on the Bush detail (Anne G., Marie & Eva-Lee) did a fine job of arresting him again and again. Other NYC Pink Peace officers: Nancy K., Sarie, and Rhonda. We were joined by a contingent of women from D.C., plus Angelica and Kathy from Connecticut, Eileen from Long Island, Vannessa from Purchase, Peter, Medea, Rae, Ariel, Francine, Donna, Francine and others new to CODEPINK NYC. We sang the Pink Police Song from the stage after Medea, Rae and Angelica spoke.

Thanks to Rae for excellent press work and crowd wrangling, Courtney for an amazing performance as W., Eva-Lee for helping with the flyer and arresting Bush, Marie and Anne G. for great police work, Rhonda for the genius costumes, our friends from D.C. for the wonderful Bush mask and extra Peace Officer costumes. Thanks to Francine who handed out hundreds of flyers. Thanks to all who turned out and all who were with us in spirit but had to be at their day jobs.
