June 9-16 End the Occupation of Iraq and Palestine: This session includes the opportunity to join with End the Occupation for a teach-in on the Israeli occupation of Palestine on Sunday, June 10, and a lobby day on Monday, June 11. For more details about the End the Occupation Program, visit www.endtheoccupation.org Also during this summer training- Taming the Giant Corporation, conference with Ralph Nader, speakers include Bernie Sanders, Amy Goodman, and more! June 17-23 Local Cost of War: This session includes the opportunity to join in various actions around the Take Back America Conference and a focus on what the war is costing communities across the country. Come prepared with various issues in your community around which you might want to build a campaign. Guest trainers include Heather Box from League of Young Voters and Medea Benjamin, Jodie Evans and Gael Murphy of CODEPINK. More guest trainers TBA.
June 24-30 Weeklong Activist Training
July 1-7 Red, White, Blue, and PINK: 4th of July Action with CODEPINK: This session includes actions at the DC national Independence Day Parade and other 4th of July actions. Congress is not in session during this week, but there will be many actions to do in DC.
July 8-14 Youth Summer of Resistance: This session will focus on campus
organizing.
July 15-21 Weeklong Activist Training
July 22-29 Weeklong Activist Training
August: The CODEPINK house will be open for activists to stay and work out of but we will not be holding trainings during that time. Congress will be out of session during the month of August.
September 2-8 Welcome Back Congress! Welcome Senators and Representatives back to DC from their August recess with a kick-off of CODEPINK’s Troops Home by the Holidays campaign!

SAMPLE WEEKLY SCHEDULE

CODEPINK Activities may include:
- Daily actions in the halls of Congress, in hearings, in representative and senate offices
- Actions at events where presidential candidates are speaking to get out our “Give Peace a Vote” message
- Nightly meetings, skill shares, or expert speaker presentations
- Guest speakers including: Iraqi activists, journalists, videographers, writers, political analysts
- Weekly potluck at the CODEPINK house with ally organizations and DC activists
Sunday Arrive in DC and settle into the CODEPINK house Sunday night welcome dinner at the house
Monday Morning activist skills training Lunch in Congress Afternoon orientation and action in Congress Group dinner at Bus Boys and Poets, DC’s popular progressive restaurant, performance space, bar, and bookstore
Tuesday Morning media training Actions in Congress Evening guest speaker at the CODEPINK house
Wednesday Morning bannering and outdoor vigil Actions in Congress/DC Free time for dinner and evening activities (see the monuments at night, go to the movies, Union Station restaurants, and other attractions)
Thursday Actions in Congress Evening Potluck with the DC activist community at the CODEPINK house
Friday Actions in Congress/DC Movie night
Saturday Brunch wrap up and closing circle Afternoon free time to see museums, city

LONG-TERM ORGANIZING IN DC OPPORTUNITY
|

In addition to training participants, the DC CODEPINK Activist house will also house some long-term CODEPINK organizers. If you are a skilled activist interested in living in the house for a longer period of time and assisting with organizing our CODEPINK campaigns and trainings, please fill out the housing application and include your interest in working with us in DC and your activist experience.
