CODEPINK: Women
for Peace, Global Exchange, Interfaith
Peace-builders and the Fellowship of Reconciliation,
together with over 100 peace and justice groups,
are organizing a gathering in Washington DC to
take a stand for justice and peace in the Middle
East! Timed to coincide with the annual policy
meeting of the American Israel Public Affairs
Committee (AIPAC), we will bring activists and
concerned citizens from around the country to
learn about the extraordinary influence AIPAC
has on U.S. policy and how to strengthen an alternative
that respects the rights of all people in the
region.
A daylong conference will take place on Saturday,
March 3rd at Mount Vernon Place United Methodist
Church. Demonstrations will take place outside
AIPAC’s conference from Sunday to Tuesday, March
4-6th. We’ll have a 20? long Wall, a people-powered
Freedom Flotilla, a memorial to peacemakers and
innocents killed in Palestine, “Peanuts-style”
dialogue booths, giant puppets, and more.
There will be time for street theater, marches
