In the sleet and rain some 25 people showed up in Huntington Village. We rallied in front of Bank of America, then went on to walk, with a police escort no less, and stopped in front of Chase, Wells Fargo etc. chanting and showing our signs to the shops and stores, motorists and passers-by. CODEPINK LI had a significant presence. I made a CODEPINK pink slip sign that illustrated "Bust Up the Big Banks" that made a hit. After that we went back to the Cinema Arts Centre for an Occupy LI Think Tank Meeting, founded by Rosalie Yelen, cofounder of CODEPINK LI, to plan more actions. |
