| The day before the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act took effect, CODEPINKers Janet and Susan spoke at a press conference organized by the San Francisco 99% Coalition in front of SF City Hall. Janet reminded us that now is the time to continue exercising our rights in the face of repression and injustice, while Susan told us how her purchase of olive oil to fund clean water in Gaza might lead to her being arrested under the NDAA. Other speakers included representatives of Occupy San Francisco, CAIR, and the 99% Coalition, among others. The press conference concluded with the recitation of sections of the Bill of Rights and the US Constitution that the 2012 NDAA violates. | ||
