Funeral for American Dream

March 8, 2012
CODEPINK: Tucson Chapter
Tucson, AZ

A funeral procession for the American Dream was held by Code Pink & Occupy Tucson on International Women's Day, March 8, 2012. Mourners gathered to pay final respects to individual freedom (Nat'l Defensse Authorization Act allows govt agents to indefinitely detain American citizens), to mourn the loss of millions of American homes, to mark the passing of the First Amendment (Judge Dingeldine ruled that city curfew code trumps right to peaceably assemble and collectively petition for changes in govt), and to bury our hope for change (Obama's military policy and his fealty to corporations sadly nailed the coffin shut).
