Delegates from around the world have been meeting in Addison (Dallas), TX for a ten-day conference on the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement ("NAFTA on steroids, only more secretive). The anti-TPP action was organized by CODEPINK along with members of Occupy Dallas and the Dallas Peace Center. We retrofitted the "boat" from our Gaza Freedom Flotilla march to become "SINK THE TPP!" We "sailed" all over, with a long stop at the hotel where the conference is taking place, where we passed out flyers to delegates. Then we "sailed" down to "restaurant row" in Addison, informing and entertaining diners on the outdoor patios. To the tune of "Row, Row, Row Your Boat"... Throw, throw, throw our jobs Far across the sea Trans-Pacific Partnership Screwing you and me! The audience loved it. Hard to get huffy about humor! We all had a great time. Everyone always loves to be in the boat! |
